We desire to be a community that is inclusive, hospitable, and faith-based as we continue to walk in the Lord and share our journeys with one another. Area Groups are very simple: fellowship, prayer, and worship. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
Roots Church Mission
We want to see heaven
As radical as that may sound, our mission is just that: to proactively seek after the Lord to such an extent that we can catch glimpses of His kingdom here. Now, what does that look like?
It’s about having no fear. Roots Church preaches victory over sin through the sacrifice made on the cross by Christ Jesus. We boast in Him and Him alone, and we spend our days trying to walk out our lives in a manner that appropriately reflects the authority placed in us as sons and daughters of the God.
It’s about looking toward to eternal things. We aim to change popular culture and societal beliefs within the communities in which we take part. Our practices are based on the fundamental truth that our lives here are but a mist; our eyes are set on Christ and what He has in store for us.
It’s about being a well. Walking in an understanding of our identities in Christ, and in knowing our worth, we as a ministry endeavor to be a source of life for the communities that we touch. Member or visitor, friend or foe; we want to see people come to Jesus Christ. Come in and be fed, and subsequently go out and feed.
roots church vision
"He gave the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds, the apostles, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-13).
Holding true to our intentions from day one, our vision as a church has always been to form a body that will walk, learn, build, and live together in Christ. This means that we are fully engrossed in the idea of sharing in each other’s times of elation, and equally so, in times tribulation.
We want to see the righteousness of God embodied in His people. We strive to build an environment of worship and adoration for the King. We long to equip, empower, and embolden those who find themselves within our reach, and we yearn to do so in the name of Christ Jesus above all.
